Last year in Alaska it was made with halibut. Great.

In SoCal it is generally our local species of halibut or lingcod.

What part of So. Cal.? When I was younger I used to work on the charter boats out of Ventura, I didn't get paid but I got to fish all day for free and I would scrub the decks and help clean the fish at the end of the day. Wasn't that an awesome deal?
