Did you hear...?

Postby Stan Wright » Fri Nov 25, 2011 6:04 pm

Fresh from "rumor control".... Got a call from someone who went fishing today... I won't mention Opy's name because I know you guys will call and bug him about where all the fish were biting.

Anyway, the peacock bass were going crazy at an un-named point up on the North Fork. They had a great day... Dad was reeling in a nice 2 to 3 pounder when they saw a huge fish following it right up into the shallow water. The 16 year old daughter... we all know how clever these women anglers can be... dropped her live bait right beside the boat and as they watched, a 7 pound peacock rushed in and inhaled her bait. The fight was on. Since women are more skilled anglers than men... it wasn't long before she had the big peacock bass to the net. (I hope they post some pictures)

Congratulations. It's always nice when you catch lots of fish... Sounds like it was a very good day of fishing.

Think I'll get some live bait and go visit "Mr. Morgan".

So were actual scales used or just eyeballing it?

Went back to Morgans Pt. on Sunday morning... caught fish but it was a lot slower action... around 1 or 2 PM the action picked up a little. Everyone caught fish and had fun, so all and all it was a very nice day. :D
