I caught a nice Jaguar(aztec) chiclid at condo cliffs last novermber...wish I new how much those fish were worth when I caught it!! A good size male can go for $60! A breeding pair is worth $150. I have a big one in my tank he's about 13 inches and is CRAZY aggressive, had a hand size domino chiclid he dicided to kill one night after they had got along great for 3 weeks. Re-aranged the tank and tried my luck with a 15 inch spotted bass..that didn't work out so well either. As soon as the bass entered the water he was attacking it. This fish is a certified kiiller He tries to attack my kids when they get close to the tank. Doesn't mind me so much cuz I bring the food He will eat 2 dozen minnows in a couple of hours. I thought red devils were bad! I read they max out at about 22 inches. Such a good looking fish it's a shame he doesn't play nice with others...would really like to have more than 1 fish in my 90 gallon tank.
