Oahu fishing

Postby danb » Sat Nov 05, 2011 5:57 am

Hey guys,
I'm going to be in Honolulu for a few weeks for work. Actually I'm getting on a plane in a few hours. I'm planning to get some fishing in for sure, but wondering what you guys would recommend. I've been looking at maybe some bass fishing, shore fishing and of course ocean fishing. What would you rate as the best? any recommendations on guides if I decide to go that route?

Thanks!
Tight lines

Freshwater fishing is going in to its off-season. As the water gets cooler, the peacock bass go sopmewhat dormant. The bass fishing should be about the same. Can't comment on saltwater action as thats not my thang.

Bone fishing on the flats has been pretty good... Clay's Blog can give you the story. http://www.nervouswaterhawaii.com/default.asp
There are several saltwater flats guides on Oahu.

For deep sea fishing we usually go with the Live Bait out of Waianae.
