Happy Birthday
It started out slow... we chased the schooling peacock bass around Kemoo Island for 2 hours... nothing. They just wouldn't take the lures we were offering... not even live bait.
The red devils were a little more cooperative, but even they were not as aggressive as they were yesterday.
We pulled up to some points and tried live bait for peacock bass, but they were not around... did catch a few catfish.
Then about 10:30 everything started to click. I guess we were finally at the right place at the right time. Fish after fish... all on live bait. Even let Dad catch a few. Nice one Jimmy.
Charlie, our birthday boy caught the first fish of the day, the most fish and the largest fish. Three of his peacock bass were just over 3 pounds each.
A very Happy Birthday!
