Day 1, Jefferson River

Action was kind of slow. But the country around SW Montana is so beautiful.
This is our guide, Toby, with a rainbow trout. They were eating grasshoppers today.

My first Jefferson River rainbow. I fished the Tenkara Rod all day.

Toby said he usually sees moose on the Jefferson... and we did.

He was just laying in the water at the edge of the river.

What pound test line do they use to catch moose? They better use braided! :lol:

Thats awesome!!! I coulda gave you my Salmon eggs!!! I could get a grasshoper mold too thats funny!!!! And I have a cricket scent too!!! Next time you got let me know little more in advanced before you take trips mainland! Got lures to test and scents!! lol!!!!
