Largemouth Bass

Postby Stan Wright » Thu Aug 18, 2011 3:17 pm

James contacted me and said he was trying to catch a
largemouth bass in every state. I think he's also trying
to catch all species of bass too.

I called Jeff... the Filthyfisherman and ask for so help.
It was a good call, here are the pictures from this morning...
James with his very first Hawaii LMB. It's a fish
we tagged 6 days ago at the same location.

We tried for peacock bass, but they were not around... but this bluegill was.

Caught everything on plastic worms. Thank you Filthyfisherman.

Here is James and Jeff with another LMB.

Jeffs plastic baits were working this morning.

Rachel was doing all right in the bass catching too.

This is a 20 inch, 3 pounder...

Jeff's Filthyfisherman worms.

Lake Wilson has some nice largemouth bass...
you just have to know where and how to catch them...
or know somebody who does.

Report 8-18-11 8:30-11:30am, 6 LM Bass, 1 BlueGill. WT ?, BP 29.98F, moon 75%, Level 72.34. Today I was showing James Hall Editor Bassmaster Magazine my Largemouth tactics at Lake Wilson... Started out heading to the 90 degree banks by the quanza hut, nada. On the way back we stopped at one of Stans spot "Jame's Hall Point" on the way to the dam and got a nice one.LM 13.5", 1.25lbs, on a "Ike Head" 3/16oz shakeyhead with a 6" worm 6lbs P line Halo Flourocarbon in 10ft water. Then working back torward Tuc Cove He got the Blue Gill on a Berkley Atomic Teasers 1/16oz pearl orange. Then headed to the dam and fished 10-15ft water around rocky drops. He landed another one 14.5"? on the same rig except for a begley Shackeyhead 1/8oz grn/pumkin color 6" worm by the way... Then I picked up a LM same deal begley 1/8oz shakeyhead grn/pum 6"worm... Mr Hall shortly after that hooked up with another 14.5' with the bagley shakyhead 1/8oz grn[pum worm. Rachel hooks up after that with a 15.5" LM on the Bagley head setup.. Then Switching to one of my prototype 6"worm in my Blue Fleck color on a OWNER Shakeyhead 3/16oz. Mr Hall hooks into a NICE LM bass 3lbs and a good 20"!!! Great Day!!!!
