Got on the lake about 7:45... Overcast sky and the fish were schooling.
Used mostly small gold or silver/blue CastMasters. The little ones 1/4 and 1/8 oz. size.

Around 10:30 the clouds parted... bright sunshine... no more schooling fish.

Moved to BBP around 11:00 or so... and started using live bait. (I had about 25 or 30 Mosquito fish)... Finally ran out of bait around noon. Wild action.

hey stan was thinking about going out to the lake on thrus and going to the dark side haha.... If you dont mind sharing some secrets, I was wondering how you rig the live bait? hook through the mouth or back? weight or free swimming? and anything else....Looks like you been getting some good action....

I'll hook up from the bottom lip thru the top lip. They live much longer that way IMO. I also use a BB size split shot or smaller about 6" above the hook. Lots of guys go weightless or "free swim" the minnows. Find a point, throw out just passed where you can't see the bottom of the lake anymore. Tucs and bass like shallow water with quick access to the deep waters. Good luck.

:D
What he said...
I use a #10 AH hook.
Spinning tackle with 4# or 6# test line.
With the BB size split shot.
Just toss it out like Roadwarrior said...
I like to hold the rod and keep the line tight... reeling very, very Slooooooowly.

When you feel the fish take the bait just start reeling, you don't have to set the hook, the fish will do it for you.... just start reeling and hang on.

Hope to see you out there.
