Mostly hit the schooling fish... (better in the morning) also action along the shoreline. Everyone caught peacock bass.
Lots of rain. Watched the water level rising in the afternoon.
And when I ask Chris for some pictures... "I'm not getting my camera phone all wet in the rain!"
Another good day

Man I wish I had a boat! I don't mind rain at all, but I hate getting all muddy. I got no place to store a boat though. Glad to hear the water is coming back up and the fishing is hot as well.
Fishing is fun only if you do it for fun. www.texassidewinderrods.com
Hopefully the fishing is good through Friday as well...the first annual Husband Vs. Wife Fishing Showdown.
First prize for me is a team daiwa steez svf rod.
First prize for her is a spa day set up by husband.
My strategy...block her casts with boat positioning...not help her land fish or tie her lures, absolutely no tips, I offered that we roate fishing from the front of the boat, but she doesn't know how to use the trolling motor and declined....I really want that rod. Plus, she challenged me by saying she could out fish me. So all is fair. I told her she hasn't seen me fish in tournament mode...and I might behave like mike iaconelli(she watches fishing with me)

I plan on fishing a jig most of the day. I have one buzzbait that the trailer fell off of. But I don't really have the confidence or the know how with buzzbaits(not yet anyway). Last time I fished the jig I was slaying em...so I will play my hottest hand. But I do always have a topwater rod ready to go, and I will probably use it for the first hour or so and sparaticly through out the day.
If I get a solid weight together I'm thinking about throwing my 5 inch tilapia matt lures swimbait.
I'm not telling her ANYTHING!!!! unfortunately I have already taught her to set the hook and she is ok at fishing a plastic worm and I've taught her a few other things, but tip time is over, I really want this rod!
Hopefully this tsunami doesn't mess getting out on the lake up!
