Kayak trolling
Does anyone do trolling with a kayak in lake Wilson. What would be good bait?

I use to drag a live bait around... caught some nice peacock bass that way.
I've seen guys trowling crank baits from boats and catching.
In the saltwater I used a streamer or small squid skirt type lure. I put a rubber band around the kayak paddle and tucked the line under it. When I paddled it gave the lure action. Stop and go. On a strike, the line just pulled out from under the rubber band and you fight the fish on the rod.
I guess a lure would work like that.

"Why let the truth stand in the way of a good fish story?"
When I troll with human power whether it be Kayak or rowing I prefer to use a floating lipped lure so that I don't need to worry about fouling the lure on the bottom if I need to stop and rest or observe. I've caught with gold Rapala minnows, Yozuri Crystal minnows, etc. gold being a consistent producer in the lake.
