Thursday Fishing

Postby KIA68 » Thu Feb 17, 2011 9:31 pm

Went out late thursday afternoon. Water level is super low! Caught a few here and there. Here is a pic of a decent 2.5lb largemouth we found using a worm. At about 5pm we started to head in when we noticed some fish breaking water. We decided to put some top water lures on. Ended the day with about 20 decent sized largemouths! All on topwater.

Nice looking fish. How did you rig the worm?

Full size Senko or the 2" Lake Wilson Special? I'm guessing a 6 or 8"? Sounds like you had a blast! 8)

The bass in the picture was with a 6inch senko. The fun part of the day was catching bass on topwater. They were blowing up the spook lures we were throwing at them.

Agreed! I love the top water blow up. Very exciting. I'm jealous!

I'd suggest a clear Heddon Torpedo to add to your arsenal. I've had the most success with that one, but if they're in feeding mode, most any decent topwater lure will work.
