Have you ever caught a fish the very first time you cast a new lure? If so, what was the lure? I can't remember when/if I ever have until this afternoon. The wife bought me some new tackle for my B-day, one being a white tube. First cast I hooked this little guy. That was my only fish of the evening to!

I remember it happened with me almost 30 years ago at the North Fork creek when I first cast my #1 Mepps Black Fury! Caught a decent smallmouth. Ever since then, it has been my confidence lure when fishing a stream. I remember ordering their catalog every year and hoping I could one day get my picture in there. Never happened. Blah.
