I was informed that those big peacock bass swimming around in the coves.
The ones hanging around the sunken logs. The ones that ignore every lure
and live bait we toss at them......
Well try some small medaka (mosquito fish)...
The small ones, remember, small ones.
Don't forget to have SMALL hooks to go with the small size bait.
Oh, and don't tell anyone, let's keep this is a secret.
Come over to the dark side Luke, use the (Small) live bait.

"Why let the truth stand in the way of a good fish story?"
Different days means different choices. Luke and I hit the lake on Fri. afternoon. My livewell held both mosquito fish and tilapia. I worked the smaller mosquito fish first, with no interest. Switched over to the tilapia and that is what they wanted. Go figure ? Used up all of my tilapias. Got my biggest fish- 4lbs on my biggest bait. Hooked up some nice fish in the trees and was able to get them out, thanks to 30 lb power-pro. Fight fire with fire ! Also picked up a nice 5 lb catfish. He thrashed about like an alligator doing that death roll at the side of the boat. Threw a few lures, but no chases. Calm conditions and a nice overcast afternoon trip ! Still had lots of fish with lock-jaw near the logs, but had a few takers.

They got 3 PB and 2 LMB in the morning on lures. Saw lots of big peacock bass.
In the afternoon the guys brought some talaipia and some midaka.
they caught 12 on the small midaka.
Today they caught a few LMB and had several BIG peacock bass blow up on the lures...
