Caught 6 or 7,
little largmouth bass.
Caught them hiding
in the grass.

Cast to some others
near the grass.
They just said,
"I think I'll Pass".

Lots of peacocks
near the shore.
Everything we offered,
they'd just ignore.

Hooked a big'un--
He made one jump.
Then dove deep and
Wrapped the line around a stump.

We got rained on...
you must think that I'm a jerk.
But I was fish'n...
while you were... at work.

They were using small white Senkos... the 2 inch ones.
I would use a fly rod if I was going.
