Legal to Keep Tucs and Bass?!?!?!?

Postby Ca_Bass » Wed Oct 13, 2010 7:09 pm

I was looking at the HFFA website and they have the rules and regulations for Lake Wilson and it said through May 1st and July 31st you can keep 4 tucs that are no longer than 15 inches. It also said between Feb 1st and March 31st you can keep 3 LGMB or 3 smallmouth or a combination of the two not to exceed 3 fish. The date on the top of the document was from 97 so I'm not sure if this is accurate. Here is the link.

Alec,

Just to let you know that our website is still a work in progress. Steve must have used an old rulebook. Everything listed on the website is experimental only.
See you on the Lake

Are those numbers per year?

Aren't those club rules.... not state rules? Very old and out of date ones probably.

Anyway, doesn't that just apply to tournaments? You can "keep" them till they are weighed and then have to be released.

The club has a scale with the designated weighmaster on his boat.

I'm sure it is out dated and not valid, but it wasn't tournament/club rules, it was from the DLNR. The header date is from 97 but after looking at it again it looks like the section about the bass limits might be a lot older than that. I just thought it was interesting. It also goes over other rules on the lake including boat speed and length.

Roadwarriorsvt...it didn't say if it was per year or day.

I think it would be a great idea to list some of the lake rules and get some comments going... Why it was made a rule? Does it work? Is it good? Would something better work? etc, etc. etc
Just a thought.
