Day 3, Yellowstone River

Postby Stan Wright » Tue Aug 31, 2010 6:06 pm

Cold, 46 degrees. Strong gusty wind made casting very tough.
Yellowstone River running through Paradise Valley is a beautiful place.
This is the only other boat we saw all day.

We caught Rainbow Trout on dry flys.

Several Brown Trout. That's me in the Ninja hood. It was COLD.

This Cut - Bow Trout (cross between a rainbow and a cutthroat) is the largest our guide Toby has seen on the Yellowstone.

Check out that orange slash under the chin... mark of the Cutthroat Trout.

The Tenkara Rod and a dry fly works on Yellowstone Rainbow Trout.

Downtown Bozeman to Ted's Montana Grill for an All American BUFFALO
BURGER. Sooooo Good... broke da mouth. :D

Sounds like you're having a great time, except for the cold weather. Best of luck on your next day of fishing.
