Spawn is over - tucs more active

Postby ssminnow » Sat Jul 24, 2010 8:31 am

Looks like the spawn was very good this year. I see pairs swimming with
lots of 2" fries. I has a ball of at least a 100 3" tucs chasing my lure all
the way to the boat. They would follow on every cast(what a sight).
Also. the Tucs are getting more active. I caught a bunch of Tuc that
came out of the grass or trees and just pound the lure (2-3 pound).
I usually live bait half the time but didn't get a chase at it.
Get ready for the schooling Tucs!

Glad to hear it. Seems the Tucs haven't found the shad yet though. Can't wait for that!

Saw something busting on shad today, but didnt get there in time to get any. What lures where they pounding? Tried a ood portion of the lake today with an assortment of lures and nothing bigger then 6 inch LMB.... Did manage to get 2 LMB in one cast on one lure tho :).... Was awsome to see them trying to grab my lure out of another ones mouth
