fishing tuesday
Seen a lot of pairs today not on nests moving around didn't see any eggs don't know if there looking for a place to lay or what there in there spawning colors but not really stayuing in one spot. After giving up parked in the shade and cut a bluegill up/for bait and hooked the biggest catfish I ever seen had to untie boat and chase it on 8lb test fought for 5 minutes finally broght it 8 feet under the boat and eventually my line broke. What a bummer I just wanted a picture of it. easy over 15 lbs. I'm hooked till I get a picture of that monster lol! Just another tale without a picture!

Back in Texas we use to use bluegill to bait the trotline. I caught several nice catfish at Morgans Pt. using small talipia and goldfish while fishing for peacock bass. One was so exciting that we tagged it.... I looked up the tag numbers and I can't find the catfish one....... LOL
So if anyone catches a nice size channel cat with a tag in him... please let me know the number. ( 5 to 7 pounder as I remember)
