Since we've been feeding the catfish up on the north fork, we've seen many of the same ones over and over. The largest one has a distinct scar on his back. My wife has affectionately named this big old guy "Grampa". He will come right up to us and has let my wife pet him as he is feeding. Proof is below!

Do you guys use barbless hooks and C&R these catfish if fish for them at all?
I can't even keep live bait more than a couple days before I start naming them and getting all attached, then letting them all go.
Now I just catch enough bait the the trip and release the leftovers.

Mainly catch & release, but a few of them have found their way into my freezer and deep fry! Now these dang fish are spoiled. Since I've been feeding them, they won't hit any other baits! They hold out for the pellets! And if there are lines in the water, these fish will not come around, even if we put out feed. Talk about smart! So the fishing around here is junk, but its fun just to watch these guys at feeding time.
