Fished for only 2 hours on the south fork. Caught 4 tucs up to 2 1/2 lbs. on little live comets. They were mostly ignoring the bait. Only got four to bite out of at least 40 that I saw. Maybe if I had tilapia or banded cichlids instead, I could've gotten a lot more strikes. I also threw a rat-l-trap with no success.
The skies were overcast and the lake level was as low as I've seen it in several months.
Tried power pro braided line for the first time today. Unbelievable strength and sensitivity. The near zero stretch makes it easy to set the hook even on a long cast. Doesn't cast as good as mono though. For spooky fish, you need a mono or fluorocarbon leader, but that sucks because the knot sometimes hinders casting. I can see why some people love using it in certain situations. I'll probably have one rod rigged with it all the time.
Good luck to everyone.
