saturday mixed bag

tuff morning, air temp never made it out of the 70s, water temp stayed at 73-74. water was high and still very clear considering.fish........ well not very active.one of those days where you throw everything in the tacklebox all day and it looks like a bomb went off, line, lures androds everywhere.still it turned into a good day. morning was very slow but around 10 am the water warmed enough to get some going i guess. caught a snakehead, several red devils,a catfish,a nice largemouth, a tuc. and finnished it off by losing a 4-5 lb tuc at the boat. my nice pro series 5 talapia crankbait was just coming into view next to the boat when out of the depths came that big green head! grabbed it and turned straight down in a flash of white belly and orange fins. with 5ft of line out and the inevitable snap was but a 10th of a sec away.damn that was a really nice bait, always sold out too had to get.and even worse i got to see that really big tuc close and clear. a real beast! i made several passes and waited but no bait return, although i have seen it happen....... sometimes. a tuff day but all in all i got lucky and the fish reponded when the temps warmed up. all i can say is stick it out and throw everything!
