It was another hard day of fishing. Worked the shoreline and only got a few follows. It's been tough fishing for me all week.
Water temperature was 75 to 76 in the afternoon. The fish we did catch were really sluggish.... not jumping and not making hard runs.
Around 4:30, just where the lake opens up into the Main Basin, the surface was covered with small shad in an area about the size of a football field. Looked like rain drops on the glassy water.
Every so often, a peacock bass would break the mirror surface and scatter the bait.
Gone as quickly as it had appeared..... and always out of casting range.
Did get a few pictures of Lance and Tommy. I'll give them credit. They are both good anglers and had to work very hard for the fish they landed.
What did you say this was? A Red Devil?
Not bad... first Peacock Bass.
Just hold it out close to the camera there Lance.
No... No pictures of this one please.....
Nice one Tommy.
