We were hoping for some wild action from schooling peacock bass.
The fish were chasing shad, but mostly just for
a few seconds and way out of casting range.
Did catch a few though.
Not bad for ones first ever peacock bass.
Never go fishing without your trusty long-nose pliers.
Big fish of the day.... a nice 3 pounder caught
on 4# test ultra-light spinning tackle. Live Bait.
Mixed-Double.... now we have pictures of
peacock bass and red devils.
Something to show the folks back home.
I know what your thinking....
What were they using for bait?
Where were they fishing?
Well, after the schooling action proved kind of slow
we cruised on over to Morgans Point and
used up the last of the Comets
(little 2 inch goldfish... feeder fish)
Morgans Pt. , live bait , peacock bass
A winning combo.....
But that's a secret......don't tell anyone.
