saturday report

Postby BASSTRACKER » Sat Oct 10, 2009 9:00 pm

from the look of the bank with 3-4 ft of mud showing the waters dropping,as a matter of fact one of the points i fished in the morn was just under the water and in the afternoon it was about 5 inchs above the water.the fish were pretty scarce, managed to sqeek out 3 tuc and one bass. by afternoon the clouds brought the baitfish up and some busts started but always just out of reach and never for long.lotsa boats out maybe tourney practice, maybe read about the tucs goin off all week.whatever the case by lunch most had thrown in the towel. good luck for the rest of the weekend! i hope they dont go much lower i like the water level where it is.

Did a Friday afternoon trip from 2 to 6 pm. No tucs. Not even a chase or a looker. Picked up two cats and a bluegill. Hard fishing. No schooling action. Nothing on the shoreline. Water temp was at almost 86 degrees. Is that too hot ?? Where do the tucs go ?

Same with us on Saturday.... very tough fishing. 3 small peacock bass, 2 catfish, and 3 red devils... all on live bait.

What little schooling action we saw only lasted a few seconds and was always out of casting range.

We never saw any along the shoreline or had any chases on lures all day.
This is Marshall's largest tuke, a 2 3/4 pounder.

Hit the lake early today. 7 to 10:30 was all the slow fishing my son could handle. One tuc on live bait at Morgans Point was it. Saw carolina bassin and they were not hitting lures either. Water still high/ 16 ft at bridge and around 80 degrees. Nice day for a boat ride.
