Well boys and girls....
there is a tropical storm on the way.
We were talking about how a heavy rain might
impact Lake Wilson.
I'm thinking that on Wednesday there will be
muddy water going over the dam.
That will put a damper on the fishing for a while.
Any ideas?

Sucks to be my sister who is visiting Oahu right now...in the midst of the tropical storm.
Oh wait...sucks to be me because she's visiting and I'm in Toronto working like a dog.
Stan, have you got a call from my sister yet? She has your dream catcher No sweat...if you need to go to Honolulu for some reason, let her know and maybe she can meet up with you. If not, I'll bring it next time for you again

looking down from the bridges, south fork looks ok, water level around the 68ft mark.not low but not high, boyscout island is a peninsula again.grass lines are above the water again.north fork looked a little muddy, from the rain or the water drop not sure.still raining but only lightly.think lake will be fine for fishing.

High and muddy water can be a good thing. It usually pushs the fish from the deeper waters to the edges where the bait fish go to in muddy conditions. I have caught most of my bigger fish during these conditions. Try using a jig or spinnerbait in the grass areas where the water changes from muddy to a little cleaner. Maybe this will break the fish up from their late post-spawn habits and they will get back to normal. I will try it tomorrow and will let everyone know.

yes find the baitfish and the gamefish will be close by. dont think the waters too muddy even after the rain,at leats didnt look to bad from the road but it did come up so you will have some grassline in the water.however my last outing before they lowered the lake for this storm seemed to prove the grasslines barren, no tucs no bass no baitfish. i found the only fish biting relating to depth not any cover or structure.check for the thermocline and fish at that depth along any bank and good luck! i think it might be a tuff couple of weeks till we get a stable trend in weather again.
