barometer
they say fishing improves just before or during a storm as the barometer drops. fish feed knowing the storm will make things tuff afterward.i have had mixed luck with pre storm fishing in the past.id love to try it this time but i think if i was out on the lake instead of battoning down the hatchs my wife might very well lock me out in it hahaha! my barometer reading tonight is dropping fast! wouldnt wanna be out on the water when the winds and rain hit heavy, but man hope it dont muddy the lake up for a month.

I wish there was some way to be on the lake today.... I bet it will be good fishing. The day before the big storm hit last Dec.... the fish were hitting everything you tossed at them. It was wild action.
( I saw some schooling fish in the County Yard and Shriners area )

Well don't feel bad, you didn't miss nothing. I caught 3 Tucs, a catfish, and a red devil. My father-in-law caught two Tucs, one of them being a 4#. I think since they lowered the lake 4+ feet almost overnight, that screwed with the fishing. People probably thought we were crazy driving torwards the lake as it was getting dim and cloudy, but the weather held out for us.
