Only an idiot would go out fishing on a day like today... fortunately I know one.
We were testing Clays new fly creation. It works very well. We caught lots and lots and lots of fish. (the person who makes the most accurate cast, catches the most fish)
We discovered that when the sun is shining it's easier to spot the fish... and the fish are aggressive. When the sun goes behind the clouds (and it's raining) the bite slowed way down.
Red devils in the wood (brush piles and grass) are more aggressive than red devils in shallow water.
This is not Clays new fly.
There are lots of spawning peacock bass. Most are small. It is very hard to spot them when it's raining. We got very very wet today.
Bluegill like Clays new fly to.
