Fishing Report Saturday 23 May 09

[Carolina Bassin]

Fished all day on Saturday and only caught 3 fish. Caught 1 Largemouth on Black/Blue Bitsy Bug jig with Black super chunk trailer. Caught 2 TUCs fishing the beds along the north banks of Kincades. There are a lot of beds along this bank. 1 fish was 4.8 Lbs (see pic) and had TAG 3936. Roadwarrior helped me take some good pics (thanks for the help RW). This fish was caught on a 6in Black/Red glitter lizard on football jig head, hopping it around their beds. I have caught several on the beds with this , I guess it pisses them off and gets a reaction strike. Whatever it takes!

According to my records, Peacock Bass with Tag #3936 was caught on 29 Mar 08 at the Flower Garden ( "W"... see attached map)

When I tagged the fish it weighed 5 pounds and measured 19 1/2 inches in length.

Are you sure it only weighed 4.8 lbs? ( you need to get a more dishonest scale... like mine.)
