My New Boat

Postby roadwarriorsvt » Wed Jan 14, 2009 1:11 pm

Looks like the fishing bug bit hard! One ride around the lake with Lrry93 and I was hooked. It was perfect timing to find this on Craigslist.

Now if we can keep some decent weather to get out on the lake! 8)

Nice boat! I've always been a fan of Stratos boats. Been diehard tourney fishing for the last 5 years and Stratos has been the best boat I've fished from (Triton X-2, Champion, and Ranger). Best bang for the buck there is.

After 2 months, I finally get a response!
Thanks for the compliment. I've gotta agree. This is the best bang for the buck. It has most, if not all the features of a larger, more expensive boat, but at an affordable price. (plus I picked it up slightly used). The glass is a little heavier than an aluminum hull, but its plenty fast for our lake, and it is very stable.

Its pretty sweet. A little overkill for Lake Wilson, but fun none the less. Its a 2 stroke, oil injected. Nice not to have to pre-mix. Its my first boat so nothing to compare it to really.

cant beat that. Thats one of the good things about that engine, my buddy had a 90hp on his boat and loved it.

I'll bet you have the pink slip for that kayak. It'll be a couple of years before I get my pink slip!

I saw someone fishing from a green kayak near Karston Bridge today. Exercise & fishing all rolled up into one! 8)

I'll be tied up with the car show this weekend, but I'm itching real bad to go out again!
