Mike and I fished together for over 35 years. Here are just a few of the memories .....
Mike Sakamoto in Alaska.
Mike, Brian and Andrew checking out some rods at the sports show.
Opi and Mike filming a "Fishing Tales" show on Lake Wilson.
Mike and a nice peacock bass.
If you ask Mike what he did for a living he would say he was an artist.
But it was his love of fishing that made him famous. This is a drawing he did for me.
This is an oil painting is called "Papio".
The "Shower Trees" in a Hilo Park. (Oil)
BOOM..... This is one of my favorite cartoons that Mike drew.
OH OH OIO

My condolences Stan (and for his family too). I bought Mike's book "101 Fishing Tips" a couple of months ago and I really enjoy all the tips he shared. There were also many pictures of you in there. From your foreword, I knew you and Mike were close friends.
At 59, he's still too young. It was unfortunate he had non-Hodgkins. I hope he's in a better place now chasing all the fish he wants and painting beautiful pieces of art.
