Today, John and I went out to practice our fly casting. The water temperature was 77 degrees with a foot or so visibility. It went from partly cloudy to light rain and the small peacock bass were schooling around (G) the Masonic Temple area.
John decided to try his 1/4 oz. (ugly green) buzz bait along the shore and hooked into this 5 pound peacock bass on his first cast. We tagged the fish.
Tag #4047... 5 pounds... 20 inches.
I figured that was about the right time to call it a day and go home.
(Quit while they are having fun)
