I think you got mixed up there. BPS reels are made by Browning/Silstar/Pflueger? I think, and Cabela's better reels are made by Daiwa with their lower end models made by probably Silstar also. Not too sure about those.

I agree with BSP, there are better options. I have one of the Johnny Morris bait casters. Not that bad of a reell. Just a little heavy, and doesn't have the free spool match of Shimano and Diawa.
However, you can't beat the cost.

Tks guys, after hearing that I think I'll stick to my tdx and curados.
I've been interested in a nice cranking rod for awhile but besides my fly rods I haven't ever purchased a rod online. Anyone have any good suggesting for a good fiberglass cranking rod? I've used a St. Croix cranking rod before and it was pretty nice(not sure they exact model).
