Well, "Skunked" is going to have to change his handle.
I just returned to the ramp when Blaine (Skunked) came over and introduced himself. The peacock and largemouth had been busting the surface all morning and we had landed some nice fish, so I figured if he was ever going to catch a nice peacock bass.... now was the time. It didn't take much convincing to get him into the boat.... although the remnents of the huricane were dumpng lots of liquid sunshine on us....
We were out for a little over an hour, cold, and wet as rats, but having fun. Skunked got a nice 3 1/2 pound tuke. He's not skunded any more.
Next time, let's pick a nicer day.
Aloha,
Stan

Thanks again Mr. Wright for taking me out for my first time ever on a boat at Lake Wilson. I had a lot of fun. Thanks for letting me take a picture holding my new rod and brand new reel (shimano chronarch 51Mg) even though I caught the fish on your equipment!!
To the people who don't know: Stan Wright was the co-host of Let's Go Fishing for several years back in the days. I used to watch him every weekend when I was a young man. So for me, it was an honor to meet and fish with a "celebrity" who is down to earth and friendly. Mahalo.

Fishing is fun only if you do it for fun. www.texassidewinderrods.com
