WOW Nice catch, I've been fishing Nu'uanu Res. for 25 years and never caught a catfish over 3 pounds nor more than 2 worth keeping.

I have caught alot of Channel cats but those are the ugliest ones I have ever seen!! They looked deformed.

So what was the secret bait? I have next Saturday 12-4

Wow, nice catch! I have fished there about 7 times and once caught an 8 pounder, but have never caught any others over a pound. Congrats!

I always use shrimp for bait. Seems to work alright, except it gets stolen quickly by little fish or crayfish, I guess.
