Nice pictures. :D Nice fish too. Is there any color lure you haven't caught one on?

So when are "we" going to re-visit your "secret spot"?

I have another roughly 2 more months to wait until I can fish for bass...season is closed until the last Saturday in June in Ontario.

I think I'll toss some clousers on Bass opener...and once that is accomplished, I'll toss some MW as well. :D

Nice pics, nothing like catching smallmouth on a topwater, I've had great success using Jitterbugs & Torpedos in black mini ultralight sizes.

Those are Mark Whites? I have a few of his ceramic trolling heads. With a front like that don't you work them like a topwater on the surface?

If you don't start your retrieves quickly, and work them fast near the surface.... they sink into the coral.

I guess you need a super fast retrieve ratio to make them work on the surface which they look like they are designed for which is great for Papio but not great for freshwater, I think I'll stick to my floating Spooks, Pop-Rs, Jitterbugs, and Torpedos.

They work great for schooling peacock bass.... nice long casts, good action. ( it isn't really the kind of lure you want to cans into thick cover with)

I use the 1/8 and 1/4 oz. with Shimano 1000's and Quantum's pti 10. They're easy to keep on the surface or to let them swim just below the surface.
