Just spoke with DLNR Dept. Fishing permits available April 26 - May 16 for Fishing starting May 31.

Fishing dates are officially on DLNR web site today

My wife and I took our nephew fishing for the first time on June 1st. We only caught 7 small cats this time. We were hoping to improve on my 8 lb. PB.
He started out like this:

But toward the end, he was touching the fish and having fun!
A woman in the party next to us caught 3 over 5 lbs. each. They were all released so go get 'em!
