Ku Tree Reservoir?

Postby Lrry93 » Tue Dec 04, 2007 1:27 pm

I was looking on google maps and found a reservoir down by the south fork on Scholfield Brks. I done a search and found this article saying that the Dam was breached, Anyone know about this? Is it still there? Is there fishing there?

What about other fresh areas on this map?

Here is where it should be? If it is there it is covered in Salvania. It is light green in that area on Google Earth.

I remember when they drained the lake and moved as many fish as possable to Lake Wilson. I never fished there.

If I remember correctly, during my younger days as a cub scout, our troop went to the east range and rode a boat around and did some activities over this huge water area. kinda looked like a mini-lake wilson with dam and everything. could this be it? If it is, since its a military training area, it wouldnt appear on a map would it?

That was probably it from what I found out.
maps nowadays dont hide much. You can get on Google earth and look at the ships and submarines on dock, the flightline at Hickam, or the satellite station in Wahiawa. It evens gives you a 10 digit grid to it  Its a terrosist best tool if they find out. You can even see boats on Lake Wilson

Kind of late reply but I remember reading MANY years ago the Ku Tree Res. was stocked with Bluegills and that they were pretty sizable, best place to fish for Bluegills in the State at the time. What a shame no more.
