Isn't it nice to be able to catch a fish large enough that you don't have to hold it way out toward the camera to make it look good?
Two of the larger ones.
Nice fish Mel.

Thanks Stan!
We found the fish in various locations. You had to work for the quality size fish. All of our fish were over 17", and lost a couple that were really nice.
Going to get the bigger ones next time

Nice Tucs! Since it seems like I'm more of a tackle collector than an angler nowadays, I wanted to also say "nice reel!" I don't have any round baitcasters yet, so I was wondering how you like it compared to a low pro?
I'm not too sure, but it looks like a Shimano Conquest or Calcutta(?) What are the specifics on it, and the rod too? Mahalo.
I am thinking about getting a Conquest 51. Big bucks though.

Skunked,
I too have become a tackle "ho" collecter. Never have enough time to fish, just a little here and there.
Yes, your right, my reel is a Calcutta TE 200 GT. I used it mainly for throwing smaller swim baits, but on this day, it was used for slinging live bait.
Had a great time working the bigger fish to the boat. Rod was a 7'-6" Graphite USA 15-30 lbs rod.
Excellent day fishing with Stan. Missed a couple of fish that were brutes. My mistake was I used hooks too small. I'll be more prepared next time
