Lake level down / fishing good.

Postby Stan Wright » Wed Nov 04, 2015 10:49 am

At the boat ramp the water is way down… almost to the end of the ramp. I'm going to call and see if they forgot to close the flood gates. LOL
Water also looked a little "stained"… read muddy.

However, there were 4 boats out and reports I heard were good. Lots of action and some nice peacock bass in the 3 and 4 pound range.

Also a lot more homeless campers around the lake. I've found that if I call the health department when I see the homeless using the lake as a rubbish dump that they will respond. So if you see where the homeless are just tossing all kinds of trash out of their tents littering up the shoreline and the water in an area… please call the health department…

See you on the lake.

Do not forget about dengue fever. Now that it is present in Hawaii, the potential for an epidemic is even higher since the homeless people live in the mosquito infested tree line. They are a real threat to the Wahiawa population, and the government should be proactive and deal with it before it becomes a problem.

Hey Stan, went late Wednesday. Was kind of quiet, but had fish. They were kind of sluggish. I caught a monster tuc, at least 7 pounds. I also caught one pushing 5. Big bait, big fish might be true for live bait, but not necessarily true for lures. I caught the 5 pounder on a 1/16 roadrunner. I catch big tucs on small baits and small tucs on big baits. Also, if a boat jets by don't be mad be glad. Yesterday a boat was running back to the ramp late in the evening. I saw him coming so I went next to some "good wood" and waited for the waves to settle. The 5 pounder hit right on the shoreline right where he was supposed to be. Also heard one blow up in the wood while I was landing the fish. If the fish is around, you usually get bit.

Fishing Sunday was good - topwaters and gold spoons. they really starting schooling good at the dam area about 5PM, as usual. I had some good largemouth bites in topwater on isolated logs. - Just be careful getting close to some "tents" in the woods. May need a helmet from the rock artillery fire.

Stan - is the new forum to use from now on?
