New Rods, Reels, Lures, and Everything Else Fishing Related!

Postby bsp » Fri Jul 20, 2007 6:41 pm

Since the boards have been a bit quiet lately I will post this link:
http://www.tackletour.com/reviewicast07rodspg8.html
This is a link to Tackle Tour's ICAST Article. ICAST is the biggest insider fishing show in the states and is where EVERY company reveals there new products. The above link is for Van Staal's new Ulua rod and seemed as good a choice as any to introduce forum members to ICAST and Tackle Tour in general. I am personally looking forward to the new swimbaits.
The link to the main site is here: www.tackletour.com
Enjoy!
P.S. www.tacklewarehouse.com has a lot of the new stuff like the new Core reel from Shimano. If you are so inclined you can purchase what you want there.

I am happy to see that this thread will possibly introduce more people to this great website. Thank you. Stan and I are registered there, but I don't know if anyone else is. I love reading and participating in their forum. That website is the reason that I have spent so much money on many great baitcasting reels that I will hardly ever use. They call it the attack of the bait monkey.
My next purchase will definitely be the Shimano Core baitcasting reel. 7:1 ratio, smooth as silk, only 6.5 oz.! I'm just waiting for the left hand version to be released. Or to be more exclusive, I may just get the Japan market metanium mg7. Shucks, I forgot about the Calais DC. Oh well, I guess that's what credit cards are for!
My most recent purchase is my yellow Daiwa Liberto Pixy baitcaster. Can't wait to try it out!

skunked, I know www.japantackle.com has the Metanium mg7. I have bought my JDM Zillion there and 2 Jackall 180 Swimbaits. It is a great place to shop. Tackletour is a great site and I have made more than a few purchases because of them. Of course, I have been using Big Hammer swimbaits before they reviewed them. In Hawaii I think the 3in would be good in freshwater, and any other size for the salt.

I visit that site but I'm not registered. I "tried" to resist reading the site...since my wallet is boycotting it

Awesome site, lots of good info, and I owe a couple of purchases to the site so far! :D

Ken, I understand where you are coming from. I had to tell myself no to many of the sales they have.
