Summer Fishing Lake Wilson 2013

Postby marcusn » Mon Aug 26, 2013 2:41 pm

Its been a tough summer for me this year. Not nearly enough schooling largemouths as i would like to see. And the overall fishing hasn't been what i had expected it to be, but i still found some that were willing to bite. Most of the largemouths that were caught, bit soft jerk baits. FF Kona minnows in Bubblegum color and a few more on some prototype colors i made that still need fine tuning in the lab. Even got a nice peacock on an LC Pointer. Even though i had tough summer at Wilson, as always i had a great time.

Great pic of the jumper.

You have some nice fish there. Yes, your right, it does seem to be "different" this summer doesn't it?

Nice catch report. Were you using live bait or artificial lures? Lately I have been seeing some good fishing reports while it has been raining. :D

Live bait. Mosquito fish from the stream, I'm too impatient to wait for bites and to lazy to keep casting lures. I'm like no bites in 10 minutes, I move to the next spot. But then if I catch something big, I'm like crap. not moving for the entire day.

FINALLY GOT 2 BIG CATS FOR MY POND

Postby TheAlohaBoy » Sat Oct 19, 2013 2:23 am

Finally got two big catfish for my pond.

Took me a while to reel them in but I made it. A little cove right before the damn under a big fallen tree.

Swimming Happily in my pond. I am so happy!
