I spoke to an official at Dole today. He related that the reason the lake is so low and continues to drop is they continue to irrigate fields in Waialua. This combined with no recent rainfall in the mountains result in the low water level. The rainy season is almost upon us. Hang on anglers!

ya its still dropping pretty fast, could be a very dry christmas. i guess we will be back to the way it used to be back in the 80s and 90s before dole went belly up. water fluctuated drastically all the time, and at time was completely gone. was nice when no one was using the water for irrigation there for awhile.
