Labor Day Fishing Report

Postby roadwarriorsvt » Mon Sep 03, 2012 6:49 pm

Since I was off of work for the holiday, I spend it with my wife. After finally visiting the Birthing Stone, after living only 1 mile away from it for 14 years, we hit up the Wahiawa Botanical Garden, then over to Dole, then headed down to "Area X" for a little fun fishing. We ended up catching 3 bass, one smallie, and one catfish. Now on to dinner on the north shore!

Nice fish! I'm gonna give it a go on Friday and see what I can find out. How's the water up north? Muddy, clear, stained?

Thanks. Right now, I'd say the water is clear, but that can change within a day. The north fork is at a nice, healthy looking level. I'll tell you what, that little bronze back sure can pull, just like a 3 lb. Tuc!!!

I helped my nephew & his wife move from Wahiawa to Kailua so made a couple rounds trips with my truck. Every time I saw the lake waters I started jonesing to go fishing. If I didn't have a dinner date I would have, the water looked high, clear, and very inviting.

Nice, beautiful fish.
