Feeding Frenzy

Postby Stan Wright » Tue Jul 17, 2012 10:37 pm

:D
Chris folks had a great day. He took 40 live bait and they landed over 40 fish. When the bait ran out they used CastMasters... and kept right on catching. It was overcast all morning so they just stayed all around Kemoo Island taking advantage of the constant action. Anglers age: 7 and 9.

Today the action was so good all you had to do was cast the lure out 15 or 20 feet... let it sink... and as soon as you start reeling... STRIKE.

Even the guys fishing the boat ramp (Wahiawa State Freshwater Fishing Park) were catching fish. Nice bass!

Looks like the points are starting to work
But what a diff a day makes
Had madakas and tilaps and high hopes for some schoolie action after hearing your report
Hit bbp wed afternoon and metered fish right off the point and but couldn't get a tuc to bite. Managed a small catfish a red devil and a lmb tried a bunch of other spots and pulled one more small lmb in the main basin
Oh well at least we beat the skunk, and it should only get better over the next few weeks

:(
You are so right... hardly anything in the places where the day before it was constant action. Didn't even catch a fish on Wed till 1:30. We've caught tagged fish the next day after tagging them so I don't think it was sore mouth or anything like that.

I thought they might have just moved. We tagged one 12 inch peacock at County Yard and caught it 2 days later at Morgans Pt... so they do move around. But then you said you were marking lots of fish... Go figure.
