North side lake access?

Postby GizmoMX5 » Mon Jun 11, 2012 7:54 pm

Im a shore fisherman and love frequenting lake wilson. The issue i'm currently having is that i'm seein the tucs jump all over the far bank. Is anyone aware of a way to get to the north side of the lake by the west side of the island across from schofield. Thanks for any help you can provide

You would need to go down to the very begining of Calif. Ave/Kilani Ave. I wouldn't cut thry anyones yard though. Look around on Google Earth.

I drove around there a couple months ago and didn't see any breaks in the property lines. As a fisherman I have no issues walking the bank a little but I didn't see anywhere from 99 on.

you may think of trying a very small float tube. wear the regular snorkeling fins (the ones with the full heel). but don't go in without wearing full waterproof pants - the water can cause serious skin illness. you can order one from Bass Pro Shops or Cabelas through the mail for well under $100. Access - i don't know about that....i was only familiar with four trails that led down to small openings on the upper north fork. the small float tube would offer you mobility and movement for at least a couple hundred yards in both directions, and to get out into open water off the bank. if you have a full day, you could paddle for hours (ooooo...that would be some serious exercise) and go upriver for several hundred yards.....hmmmm

I've seen people park over by the north bridge and hike in toward the dam from that direction... through the old pineapple fields.
( I got a kayak )
