Can anyone give me some tips on ULUA fishing? My buddy and I have been doing pretty good on Haliewa harbor, and hickam flats for bones, trevelly and such, but we want to step up our game a bit and fish for ulua. Can anyone give us some tips on bait and locations? Not trying to crowd your honey hole, just a point me in the right direction. I was thinking off the rocks near the blowhole but not sure.
Thanks!

Try Kaena point, but you'll need a truck if your looking to go down the trail. There is a bunch of good spots out there, some spots all ready have rod holders you just gotta look for them. Bait wise, heard that octopus and eel are good for bait. Haven't caught any octopus but I have caught plenty of eel out there. Any reef fish should be good too. Talked to a friend and he said they been catching some nice one's out there. Good luck! Hope this helps.
