Mahalo again to Ji who was such a great guide. It was an absolute blast to fish with Ji and just talk story. Ji wasn't joking when he said we were tag teaming the kaku. There were a handful of times when the kaku hit another lure that was in the vicinity of the one it just missed. There were quite a few acrobatic kaku today...some of them coming right out of the water like missles

;D A couple of them were so hungry that the whole lure was swallowed.

;D
Anytime you fish topwater and get on a consistent bite like that, it is an absolute blast. ;D
Ji, don't be a stranger. I'll be waiting for that call to let me know you're in Toronto. We'll go hunt for some freshwater kaku...aka muskies. I know a river that has choke juvi muskies. They really like hot summer days...but fall days are even better when they put on the feedbag

Plus we'll go find some walleye for that shore lunch

Stan, you too
Evan, go fish this place quick before you get back to Kauai. You may want to stay on Oahu a little longer ;D I didn't get any on the fly rod...couple of close ones with the fish blowing up on the fly and missed...but no hook ups. Go get one on the fly rod
