Fishing today 8/31/06

Postby skunked » Thu Aug 31, 2006 5:40 pm

Didn't have much luck today. Only caught 3 small tucs between one and two pounds. Saw one big one but it didn't bite. Also saw a pair of big oscars.
Funny how I don't see the tucs busting the baitfish out in the middle of the lake like I was seeing last month.
Unrelated topic: Why do all the boat fishermen have no consideration for the shore fishermen? Isn't it pretty rude to speed by at full throttle when you know that the people on the shore will have to deal with the waves and muddy water created by your wake? Isn't there a totally unenforced speed limit of 5mph on the lake? How would you like it if I took note of your boat's ID number and reported you to the authorities? Sorry, but it's just hard for me to understand how inconsiderate people can be.
Fishing is fun only if you do it for fun.Image www.texassidewinderrods.com

Hey skunked, the fish are still busting the shad but it is like Stan stated in a previous post, they are busting in the morning. If you are fishing where I think you are fishing, you have to go further down near the dam and up on the north fork.

Hey Chris, to bad you could not go on Wednesday because the fishing was off the hook. The bite was crazy, cuz! But no worry, the fishing should stay good for the next few months.
