New to the island........

Postby FishingDawg » Sun Jun 08, 2008 8:38 am

Hello all,

I am new to the island via Navy Military transfer. I am VERY interested in learning the lake and doing some freshwater fishing. Of course, I have to take my lumps being the new guy, but I am trying to read through all your reports to learn what I can.

I have a question for all of you guys that have been around a while.......where can I rent a boat to use the lake? My father is coming to town in a few weeks and I want to be able to take him out.

Thanks for any/all assistance and I look forward to seeing you guys around the water.

Chris

There are allot of Kayak rental outfits on the island, also they are pretty cheap used on Craigslist. You can rent tandem rigs for 2 guys to a kayak too. Not sure of anyone renting anything bigger on this island. There's a great local kayak fishing forum at www.aquahunters.com if you want to get more fully into kayak fishing especially in the ocean.

PS. I almost forgot E KOMO MAI Welcome to the islands, and to this forum.

Ask Stan Wright any question on fishing, he is a cornucopia of fishing knowledge.

PSS. Chris where do you originally hail from?
