wow- tons of tucs

Postby Boatless » Mon Mar 10, 2008 2:49 pm

Wow is all I have to say after going on Saturday. There were quite a few tucs on the shoreline all over the place. Of all sizes also, including some monsters. Too bad though, they ignored all flies, could care less about live bait, and laughed at any lures. Good thing there were a few down deep that didn't ignore our medaka.

I know eactly what you mean. Thursday it was the same for me with some rather huge tuc sightings but they wouldn't bite.

Same song on Monday and today. Lots of peacock bass of all sizes, but they are not to hungry. Caught 12 to 15 little ones (under 12 inches) early from scattered schooling fish near Boy Scout Island... but nothing after 10:00 AM. .... not even small ones along the shoreline.

Looks like the PB are in a pre-spawn mode. Just hanging out but not settled in on a nest just yet.
